This piece is inspired by the time I spent on the water in Maine and the flower root visions I had while there in the summer of 2022.

The base is made from three layers of unbleached cotton muslin quilted together. All collaged color pieces are from the remnants of the cut shackets than naturally dyed. The formations of the collage are motivated by flower root visions.

The three layers of unbleached cotton muslin gives this shirt style a nice weight like a light weight jacket i.e. Shacket (shirt + jacket).

The buttons are hand built ceramic by me as well.

Shacket comes with a small pouch top stitched on the front of the shacket.

All pieces are made and constructed by me in my studio in Kansas City, MO.
