SATURDAY AFTERNOON DATES:

MAY 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th ; 12:00-3:00pm

Sewing Sophomore~SKIRT is an intermediate level technique development course which will teach students to build upon the basics outlined in Sewing Survey. In SEWING SOPHOMORE~SKIRT, students will develop skills relating to garment construction specifically a tailored Pencil SKIRT, fine garment finishing methods, inserting an invisible zipper, basic pattern alteration and fittings. We will begin with constructing a muslin of the SKIRT pattern then have a fitting and alter the pattern to fit the student. *As all pupils sewing speeds/levels differ some students will have time to construct the skirt in a textile of their choosing after muslin completion and others will only complete the muslin.  We celebrate all levels and with a preferred small class size individual attention will be given to all students.

Students will need to provide their own machine.  *Although, we do have a few machines available for students in need.  Please make a note in your order if you do need to reserve a machine.  After making your deposit you will receive an email containing a list of basic supplies needed for class.  A pattern will be provided for use to all students on the first day of class.

**Muslin can be purchased for $3+tax per yard on the first day of class.  We will be using 2-4 yards for the duration of class.

**To hold your spot make the $50 Deposit (non-refundable) today.  The remaining $200 balance will be due at the first day of class.  You are also able to pay the full $250 payment which includes the $50 deposit here online.

*When checking out you will be asked to select a size skirt pattern you will want to work with during our time together.  Please pick a size closest to what you believe you wear.

*Class is capped at 3 students

**It is not required to have taken SEWING SURVEY in order to be qualified to take SEWING SOPHOMORE.  However, a basic understanding of patterns, textiles and basic construction is essential.
