Sewing Sophomore is an intermediate level technique development course which will teach students to build upon the basics outlined in Sewing Survey. In Sewing SOPHOMORE, students will develop skills relating to garment construction specifically making a shirt from a woven textile.  Techniques will include fine garment finishing methods like ruffles, making your own piping and bias binding, inserting an invisible zipper and hook & eye, pattern language, textile structure, setting in a sleeve, basic pattern alteration and fittings. 

Students will need to provide their own machine.  *Although, we do have a few machines available for students in need.  Please make a note in your order if you do need to reserve a machine.  After making your deposit you will receive an email containing a list of basic supplies needed for class.

**To hold your spot make the $50 Deposit (non-refundable) today.  The remaining $200 balance will be due at the first day of class.  You are also able to pay the full $250 payment which includes the $50 deposit.

**Muslin can be purchased for $3+tax per yard on the first day of class.  We will be using 2-4 yards for the duration of class.

**It is not required to have taken Sewing SURVEY in order to be qualified to take Sewing SOPHOMORE.  However, a basic understanding of patterns, textiles and basic construction is essential.
